The Swan Song of the Lute in France of Louis XIV

Works by Gautier, de Gallot, Dufaut, Mouton, Du But Le Fils and Robert de Visée

Saturday´s concerts take us into more intimate worlds. At coffee-time, Michał Gondko tells the story of the final golden age of the lute, that most personal and gentle instrument. The French reinvented the lute in the 17th century, altering its tuning and creating a unique repertoire exemplifying the grace of French baroque style.

A dinner is served after this event at Tyrvään Pappila's Main Hall at 16.30.
