Masterclass is a meeting point for early music students, professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world.

Early Music Masterclass - Venue:
Karkku college for home economics and social services is situated 14 km north of the centre of Sastamala, close by Lake Rautavesi and 50 km from Tampere (nearest railway station KARKKU). Surrounded by beautiful countryside the college offers a fascinating environment for studying. The medieval stone churches, venues for Sastamala Gregoriana concerts, lie 7,5-10 km from the school towards Vammala, the centre of Sastamala.

Time:
Teaching starts during the morning of Sunday 22 of July. You are welcome to arrive at the school on Saturday 21 when the first concert takes place. (www.sastamalagregoriana.fi) The course finishes with the masterclass concert on Friday 27 July.

Fee:
790 €

The price includes
Tuition, photocopies of required music, full board and accommodation from Sunday July 22 – Friday July 27, six festival concerts (see festival programme) and transport to concerts. Finnish lakeside sauna is also for use some evenings.

The content of course
The overall course is referred to as the Sastamala Gregoriana Early Music Masterclass, but it contains many overlapping modules. Important part of the course is also networking with festival performers, who stay at the same college. The course is suitable for advanced singers, vocal groups, church musicians and professional performers.
